A matured lock stops earning by itself — nobody has to poke it and you do not have to withdraw. Your principal stays claimable at any time. Burned weight never expires, so the pool only grows and every unit of weight earns a little less over time. That is what a permanent 4× costs.
Two of every hundred ether staked on the board is paid to lockers, and four more buys QTA on the open market and hands it to you. Your weight is your slice of both. None of it depends on the board being won — lockers are paid on every round, including the ones that roll into MEGA.

Each bar is a round. The tall ones landed on a cell nobody had backed, so the whole prize went to MEGA instead of to a winner.
Every cell is drawn at four per cent whether or not anyone is standing on it. Early in a round, or on a quiet one, most of the twenty-five are empty — so most draws land on nobody. That is not a failure of the round, it is where the jackpot comes from.
Roughly a fifth of every pool settles into MEGA this way. Over a long enough stretch MEGA is worth many times a single round, which is the whole reason to keep an eye on it.
Rounds where nothing was staked settle without a draw at all. They are marked NO DRAW and carry no winning cell — the contract does not invent one, and neither does this page.
Sixty seconds to bet. Choose one cell or all twenty-five, from 0.0001 ETH each. Entries lock when the timer closes.
The board locks for thirty seconds while the committed draw is resolved. Nobody can add, remove or alter an entry.
Everyone on it splits the prize by stake. If nobody is on it, the whole prize goes to MEGA.
The winning cell is picked from the sealed random number and nothing else. A cell holding ninety ether and a cell holding one ether are drawn on exactly the same odds.
What your stake buys is your share of the prize if that cell comes up — not the chance of it coming up.
If the cell that comes up has nobody on it, nobody wins. The main prize and the QTA budget — eighty-seven per cent of the pool — roll into MEGA together.
Lucky is still paid, because it is drawn among bettors rather than among cells. A rollover round still has a winner, just not on the board.
Your multiplier times your locked amount is your weight, and your weight is your slice of the dividend pool. Lockers are paid on every round, including the ones that roll over.

Each round's number is fixed on chain before the first slip is placed, and the main cell, the MEGA cell and the Lucky ticket are each derived from it under a separate domain, so no draw can be steered by another.
Every round's proof stays on chain and can be checked afterwards by anyone. A round with nothing staked settles with no draw at all rather than inventing one.
Every cell is drawn at four per cent regardless of what is on it. Staking more does not raise your chance of the cell being drawn — it raises your share if it is.
A round whose drawn cell is empty pays nobody. The main prize and the QTA budget both roll into MEGA. Over many rounds roughly a fifth of every pool settles there, so a large part of what you stake is deferred rather than paid in the same round.
MEGA has no cap and no schedule. It draws its own cell, also at four per cent, and if that cell is empty the pot simply carries. It may not fire for a long time.
Burned QTA is destroyed. The weight it buys never expires, so the dividend pool only grows and each unit of weight earns less as more is burned. This is a consequence of the rule, not a fault in it.
QTA is bought on an open market. The eleven, four and one per cent are purchase budgets at whatever price the market gives, not a promise of token value. QTA may be thinly traded or lose all of its value.
